1. In the beginning, I was thinking of doing Lumpia or Adobo but Adobo was taken by a classmate and Lumpia feels too quick to make so Pancit was my final decision. I decided to make the video a little funny but serious at the same time by adding Filipino inspired sound effects such as the laugh and other sound effects. I created a storyboard to lay out how my video will go, starting with the history of Pancit and where it originated from to the cooking of Pancit and even the quick taste testing of it. I looked online for old photos of Binondo to put in my video. I recorded my narration videos and the cooking videos. I added all my elements and started editing, cutting out all unnecessary clips. I used the split tool to do this. The audio auto duck feature in the audio menu really helps if there is a part in a clip where the music needs to be lowered, I used this throughout the video when I or my mom is speaking. I also sped up some clips by using the range speed tool in the speed menu to minimize the time to make sure it is shorter. I muted the sped up clips by going to the audio menu to make sure there aren't any strange high pitched sounds.  I started to add titles to each part of the video starting with the Day 1 title until the end which are the credits. This time I did not use after effects for transparent elements  as I felt like I didn’t need to but it would have been cool as a little extra thing but I did not want too much.

2. The part of culture my documentary represents is the food of the Philippines. Pancit has been around for centuries and is used for many celebrations such as parties, holidays, and even debuts. This recipe is important to me because my mom, aunts, and even grandmothers would always make it and it has a lot of history behind it. Pancit never fails to make me happy :)

3. Based on the learning target, “Create a culture documentary that celebrates diversity by researching the origins of the cultural recipe by using personal knowledge and utilizing the internet Then use Adobe Premiere Pro to combine audio and video clips into a final video production”. The level of mastery my project demonstrates is “Exceeds Understanding”. I think this because I added many elements in it, such as sound effects, Japanese onomatopoeia, title descriptions,   and real time cooking of Pancit and didn’t fail. I even added a quick taste testing video.  The video time exceeds the 2-5 minutes requirements due to the cooking and includes background music.
