Community Mural Mockup & Materials Quote
1. My overall strengths of my design are the hanging stars which can be colored in and interacted with, as well as the writing as I edited the text to be filled in by the students. Most of the designs for this mural are not filled since the students at the adult school like to color things in. Free space in the middle was left for them to draw freely. I believe that our groups design should be selected for a mural at Monterey Adult School because it is very interactable for the students. It has space for drawing freely and for coloring in the designs to their desires! I decided to use Adobe illustrator because it's more interactive and has more graphic design options while Photoshop is mostly used for non graphic design editing of photos.
2. The importance of creating a materials quote is to offer an estimate of the costs of the materials. When creating a quote, it helps the vendor compare prices to make a better decision within their budget. Some important things you need to have in a quote is the date, name of the vendor you are offering the quote to, your company's information, the list of the materials, & the cost of the materials. Be sure to add taxes, discounts, type of payment required, & shipping prices if needed.
3. One real world takeaway I have from completing this project would be making a quote. I believe that learning how to make quotes are so important if you are selling anything, since I volunteer in retail services I believe this information will be helpful and useful to me in the future.
